FAQ

Can I hire you on an hourly rate?

No. I don’t gauge my time based on hour.

I don’t charge hourly because it sets a bad incentive for both of us…

I would want the least amount of work for the most amount of money. And you’d want the most amount of work for the least amount of money – that’s what happens when you do hourly. So no hourly rates and no stop clocks.

Can I get you on a monthly retainer?

Yes. If we’re aligned on timelines, budget, processes, and moral compasses I’m sure we can strike a deal that works for both of us.

What if the first draft isn’t right?

It’s rare and highly unlikely that I’ll be far off the mark with a first draft because we’ll lay out a clear scope before starting.

But if that happens, no worries –  my rates include two full rounds of revisions, so it’s just a matter of collaborative feedback to get things sorted.

I need a super fast turnaround. Can you jump in?

It’s unlikely. Typically, I’m booked 3-5 weeks out, with preference given to regular clients. Even if I was free, I would strongly advise against rushed strategy.

If you absolutely must have your funnel ASAP, I might be able to help if I reshuffle my schedule, delay some other clients, and leave my dog waiting. However, in this case, you can expect a 20% ASAP fee to compensate for the inconvenience.

What if I want to change the scope or cancel the project?

My quotes are based on our agreed scope. Before any work is done, we’ll sign a contract that confirms we’re on the same page. Minor changes and revisions are permissible – but if there are significant deviations from the original scope, that’s billable.

If for any reason, you need to cancel a project that I’ve already started, I’ll invoice you for a 50% kill fee.

What are your payment terms?

I mostly work on a paid-on-performance basis… which consists of a flat fee + % of sales made.

If we haven’t worked together before, or if it’s a small project, I’ll send a single invoice before the beginning of the project.

Otherwise, for larger projects, I send two invoices:

Invoice #1 – 50% advance deposit. Sent before the project begins. Due immediately (before we start working).

Invoice #2 – The remaining 50%. Sent when the project is done. Due within 8 days.

Revolut is preferred for all transfers. It takes a few minutes to set up at first, but then it’s quick, and easy going forward.

I don’t want any of your listed packages. I’ve got a different copywriting project. Can you still help?

Sure thing.

I can help you with a myriad of copywriting projects, including:

  • Advertorials
  • Amazon Listings
  • Copyediting
  • Landing Pages
  • Sales Letters
  • Product Descriptions
  • Sales Pages

Get in touch to share the details of your project, and we’ll see what’s the best option to move forward.
